WHOOP and Landmark

The WHOOP app sends your workouts, sleep, heart rate and steps to Apple Health. Landmark reads them from there and tracks the habits you pick.

Sources checked October 10, 2026

Landmark reads Apple Health, not WHOOP directly. Once the WHOOP app is sharing with Health, your strap's data reaches Landmark with nothing else to link.

What WHOOP sends to Apple Health

From WHOOP's help page, Apple Health Integration, read October 10, 2026: Workouts, Active Energy, Heart Rate (during activities such as sleep and running), Sleep, Resting Heart Rate, and Steps if you turn them on in WHOOP's settings, plus a few types Landmark does not read.

The habits it fills in Landmark

Landmark habit From
Steps Steps, once turned on in WHOOP
Active energy Active Energy
Workouts, Strength, Running distance Workouts
Zone 1 to Zone 5 Heart Rate during activities, with your date of birth in Health
Asleep by Sleep

As goals you watch rather than tasks you do, Landmark can follow your Resting heart rate and Time asleep from WHOOP's readings.

What it does not send

WHOOP says it does not export heart rate variability, because it measures HRV differently from Apple Health. So the Heart rate variability goal needs another source. WHOOP's list also leaves out resting energy, which the Total energy habit needs.

Set it up

  1. In the WHOOP app, open More, then App Settings, Integrations, Apple Health, and choose what to share. Turn on steps there if you want the Steps habit.
  2. Open Landmark and allow it to read the categories you want tracked.

Worth knowing

  • WHOOP lists heart rate during activities, not all day, so zone minutes count the time WHOOP recorded.
  • If WHOOP both reads and writes workouts, WHOOP warns they can appear twice in Health. Its fix is to turn off WHOOP's workout export.
  • Landmark only reads. It never writes anything back to Health.
