Works with

MyFitnessPal and Landmark

MyFitnessPal sends the food you log, with most of its nutrients, and your weight to Apple Health. Landmark reads them from there and tracks the food habits you pick.

Sources checked October 10, 2026

Landmark reads Apple Health, not MyFitnessPal directly. Once MyFitnessPal is sharing with Health, what you log reaches Landmark with nothing else to link.

What MyFitnessPal sends to Apple Health

From MyFitnessPal's help page, Apple Health connection and syncing, read October 10, 2026: "Meal summaries and most nutrients sync. Caffeine and Vitamin A do not sync." Weight syncs both ways. MyFitnessPal does not list each nutrient that does sync.

The habits it fills in Landmark

Landmark habit From
Calories (dietary energy), Protein and the other food habits The nutrients MyFitnessPal sends with your meals
Calorie deficit Calories you log, against the energy your watch records

As a goal you watch rather than a task you do, Landmark can follow your Weight.

What it does not send

MyFitnessPal says caffeine and vitamin A do not sync, so the Caffeine habits cannot come from it. Its page does not mention water.

Set it up

  1. In MyFitnessPal, open More, then Settings, Sharing & Privacy, HealthKit Sharing, and turn on the categories.
  2. Open Landmark and allow it to read the nutrition categories you want tracked.

Worth knowing

  • MyFitnessPal says past entries do not sync, only what you log after you connect.
  • It says meal times do not sync either, so a habit limited to certain hours of the day may not see food logged in MyFitnessPal at the right time.
  • A day with under 800 kcal of food logged does not count toward Calorie deficit, so a day you forgot to log never looks like a huge deficit.
  • Landmark only reads. It never writes anything back to Health.
