Landmark and Streaks

Both track habits on iPhone and both can read Apple Health. How they differ, and when Streaks is the better pick.

Sources checked October 10, 2026

Streaks is a well-loved habit tracker by Crunchy Bagel, and an Apple Design Award winner. Everything said about it here comes from its own App Store listing and website, read October 10, 2026.

The main difference

Streaks is a to-do list for habits. In its own words, it is "the to-do list that helps you form good habits": you "track up to 24 tasks you want to complete each day" and build "a streak of consecutive days." Tasks linked to the Health app, such as water, tick themselves off; the rest you tick by hand.

Landmark only tracks what Apple Health records, and fills every habit from it. There is nothing to tick off. It shows how much of each habit is left today, this week and this month, and whether you are on track.

When Streaks is the better pick

  • You want to track habits Apple Health does not record, like reading, flossing or calling a friend. Landmark cannot track those.
  • You want an Apple Watch app, or to use it on iPad or Mac.
  • You like ticking a habit off yourself, and the streak of days that builds from it.
  • You want to pick from many themes and make it look your own.

When Landmark is the better pick

  • Your habits are things Apple Health already records: steps, workouts, exercise minutes, a bedtime, protein, water, mindful minutes.
  • You would rather not tick anything off, and have every habit fill itself in from your watch, phone and apps.
  • You think in weeks or months, not only days: 150 exercise minutes a week, 300,000 steps a month.
  • You want to see whether you are on track, not only whether you are done.
  • You want it free.
